Godly Play Ages 3-7

The use of Montessori’s approach to education has been adapted to Godly Play in order to stimulate children’s active participation in story and ritual and to awaken their creativity. Godly Play teaches children the art of using religious language - parable, sacred story, silence and liturgical action - helping them become more fully aware of the mystery of God’s presence in their lives.

Teens and Tweens ages 8 to 11

Workshop Cycles is an innovative new way to experience Sunday School. It takes seriously the spiritual development of children while providing creative and exciting activities that engage children in a whole new level of learning and retention. The rotation-style model means that children work on the same story or concept for several

weeks, using different learning approaches in each workshop room they visit.

Journey to Adulthood

The Journey to Adulthood is a complete youth ministry program of spiritual formation for 6th - 12th grades. It uses Bible studies, prayer, rites of passage, outreach ministries and both serious and playful activities to accomplish this goal.

Rite-13: The first two years (6th & 7th or 7th & 8th graders) focuses on celebrating the individuality of each young person and their creative potential. The Rite-13 liturgy is the community expression of this and a rite of passage from childhood towards adulthood.

J2A: The second portion of the program (9th –12th graders), engages youth with the skills and critical thinking involved in adulthood. The youth plan and embark on a pilgrimage together at the end of this segment. This experience is often the spiritual highlight of their youth.

Please fill out a registration form for any of these children's programs and send to Grace at Graceplace3@comcast.net or mailed to:

Visitors and Newcomers to our community, we are glad to have you worship with us. To help us welcome you more warmly, please let your presence be known to our Clergy and Greeters. If you will be living in the area, please give us your name and address by filling out a yellow visitor card. That way we may include you in our mailings and activities while you are here.

If you are not accustomed to worship in the Episcopal Church, here are some helpful hints. The Book Of Common Prayer is the black book containing the services of the Church. The Hymnal 1982 is the blue book which contains chants (marked with "S" in the front part) followed by hymns (without the "S"). Lift Every Voice and Sing II , the red and black hymnal, is the one generally used during Communion.
